"We are Virginia Tech" is an immersive projection mapping display exploring 150 years of Virginia Tech history, 1872-2022. A narrated documentary video, combined with images projected onto a 3D campus model, surveys the people, places, and traditions that made the university what it is today.
Audiences can connect the physical growth of campus with the development of Tech traditions like the Hokie mascot, the orange and maroon, and the “Ut Prosim” motto--as well as the difficult circumstances marginalized groups such as women and Black people confronted as they made Hokie nation their own.
